Issue
Jammings are found when packaging toasted seaweed laver. The existing inspection system(s) often failed to inspect defective products. This leads to further necessity of measures to prevent outflows of defective products.
Solution
A new X-ray inspection system,newly introduced, enables detection of defective products that have mistakenly slipped through inspection. The new X-ray inspection system is capable of inspecting aluminum film packaging for Jamming.
Background：Brand imagery damaged due to outflow of defective products in high-end seaweed for gift-giving.
There found a lot of slipping through cases of defect products to the market, after pinhole inspection specially designed for the toasted laver sheets. Jammings, found in packaging processes, lead to deterioration of quality and safety of the toasted laver sheets. And further lead to deterioration of the brand imagery especially for gift items.
Reason of installation：Strengthening of measures against leakage. Introduced an inspection system capable of detecting jamming of aluminum film packaging.
Laver for gifts, packaged in aluminum film for long time quality assurance, could not be visually inspected and was difficult to detect even by touch. System Square's X-ray seal inspection system offers capability for detecting jammings of products packed in aluminum film. This led to our decision of introduction.
How it works：Ability to simultaneously inspect for laver jamming in seal portion, folding within the package, and lacking number of sheets sealed.
The inspection by X-ray seal inspection system, performed after pinhole inspection, enables to detect defective products with jamming potentially slipping through the X-ray seal inspection system, and has reduced outflows of defective products.In addition to above, the ability to detect broken laver and short of sheets has led to an improvement in overall quality, to our satisfaction.
